WEST TEXAS HISTORY BROUGHT TO LIFE
At our luxury West Texas resort, guests are welcome to explore and enjoy our three historic on-site forts as well as vast amenities over 30,000 acres of land.
While on the property, take the time to enjoy the many activities that the ranch has to offer, such as: hiking, biking, mountain tours, skeet shooting, etc...
Constructed in 1857, the first fort at Cíbolo Creek – El Fortín del Cíbolo – initially served as a defensive measure for the trade enterprise of Milton Faver. As his business began to flourish from one cart into a ranching empire that boasted cattle, sheep, goats and agricultural goods, he added two additional structures – El Fortín de la Ciénega and El Fortín de la Morita.
Over a century later, each of these forts has been painstakingly restored and transformed into the luxurious accommodations of Cíbolo Creek Ranch. Despite their individual locations across our tranquil landscape, each has retained historic details and authentic touches of the past. Adobe walls, cottonwood beams, period antiques and more cause guests to feel as if they are stepping back in time, with the subtle addition of modern amenities.
